Salesforce Confirms Acquisition of Zoomin with Definitive Agreement

On September 24, 2024, Salesforce, the leading AI CRM provider, announced a definitive agreement to acquire Zoomin, a prominent provider of unstructured data management solutions. This acquisition will enhance Salesforce Data Cloud by enabling the effective utilization of unstructured data to develop more personalized and context-aware AI agents, thereby improving customer interactions. The integration will elevate Salesforce’s Agentforce, allowing customers to create AI systems that deliver real-time, data-driven responses tailored to individual needs. The transaction is anticipated to close in the fourth quarter of Salesforce’s fiscal year 2025, pending customary closing conditions.

“Proprietary unstructured data serves as a critical resource for our customers’ AI agents and overall customer experiences. Zoomin’s expertise will drive innovation within Data Cloud, enhancing the value derived from Agentforce,” stated Rahul Auradkar, EVP & GM of Unified Data Services & Einstein. “This acquisition reaffirms our commitment to enabling customers to leverage all their data within the #1 AI CRM, providing relevant, contextual information that fosters unique AI experiences with industry-leading trust controls.”

With Zoomin’s integration, Salesforce aims to unlock new use cases across various customer touchpoints. For instance, Service Cloud users will harness enterprise knowledge to automate service interactions and enhance Agentforce support for service representatives. This collaborative approach will help service teams resolve issues more swiftly, increase customer satisfaction, and reduce operational costs. As knowledge is often dispersed, Zoomin’s solutions facilitate the integration of unstructured data from diverse sources, empowering service teams with a holistic understanding of their customers.

“We are both humbled and excited to partner with Salesforce. This acquisition represents a natural progression of our longstanding collaboration,” said Gal Oron, CEO of Zoomin. “As organizations accelerate their enterprise AI transformation, our joint mission is to ensure AI can effectively utilize existing data without barriers. Joining the #1 AI CRM will allow customers to exploit their enterprise data in unprecedented ways.”

Zoomin has been a Salesforce AppExchange partner since 2018 and a Salesforce Ventures portfolio company since 2019. Through these established partnerships, hundreds of Salesforce customers already leverage Zoomin’s unified knowledge product to enhance experiences for their customers, partners, and employees.

This transaction will not affect Salesforce’s previously issued financial guidance from August 2024.
