Acquia, the open digital experience company, named Stephen Reny as President and CEO. Mr. Reny most recently served as the company’s Chief Operating Officer, guiding all aspects of customer success, professional services, global support, security, and operations for Acquia. He moves into the role as Michael Sullivan, who led Acquia for five years, spurring its rapid growth through product innovation and numerous acquisitions, transitions from the company.
Acquia today named Stephen Reny as President and CEO. Mr. Reny most recently served as the company’s COO, guiding all aspects of customer success, professional services, global support, security, and operations.

Before joining Acquia in 2018, Mr. Reny held executive leadership positions at organizations such as Micro Focus, where he was General Manager, and HP. His experience spans corporate development, sales, finance, and operations leadership roles across the technology and financial services industries. Mr. Reny assumes the CEO role at a time when Acquia is expanding its solutions based on the open source Drupal content management system (CMS) used by thousands of enterprises, as well as its market-leading customer data platform (CDP) and digital asset management (DAM) system.
