On 1st August 2024, Salesforce signed an agreement to acquire PredictSpring. The latter is a modern retail software company focussed on providing Point-of-Sale (POS) software in the cloud.
Following the acquisition, PredictSpring will now allow Salesforce to give a streamlined and single omnichannel platform for its digital and physical channels.
PredictSpring will advance Salesforce’s technological integration into physical stores and enhance current Customer 360 capabilities.
Store employees may interact with customers and complete transactions using a mobile device from anywhere in the store thanks to PredictSpring’s Cloud POS solutions. The retail solutions include features like Clienteling, Endless Aisle, retail Fulfillment, and Store Operations in addition to Cloud POS. These features enable store employees to optimize and customize the purchasing experience for customers across physical and digital touchpoints.

“Consumers demand a retail experience that seamlessly blends physical and digital shopping,” says Jeff Amann, EVP, of Salesforce Industries. “The combined talent, resources, and innovation of Salesforce and PredictSpring will empower brands and retailers to drive frictionless and personalized engagement across all touchpoints.”
“We are excited about the future of PredictSpring and about what this means for the retail industry at large,” says Nitin Mangtani, Founder & CEO, of PredictSpring. “PredictSpring has taken great pride in powering omnichannel experiences for many of the world’s leading brands and retailers, and we’re energized by the opportunity to make an even greater impact on the future of shopping as part of Salesforce.”
PredictSpring is a current Salesforce ecosystem partner that has already been integrated with Commerce Cloud and Service Cloud, and it has several critical retail customers.
Subject to customary closing requirements, Salesforce anticipates welcoming the PredictSpring team into the Salesforce family after the transaction closes, which is anticipated to happen in the third quarter of Salesforce’s fiscal year 2025.
Salesforce’s current financial outlook, which was last updated in May 2024, is unaffected by this transaction, and no further financial information will be released.
