Faire , the world’s leading B2B retail marketplace, announced a new global partnership with Shopify which will make Faire the recommended wholesale marketplace for Shopify, providing its services to millions of sellers around the world. This collaboration brings together two global leaders in the commerce and retail sector, with the aim of expanding Shopify’s B2B offerings and facilitating growth processes for independent brands and retailers who choose the services of both companies. As part of the deal, Shopify will also become a shareholder in Faire, highlighting the leading e-commerce company’s commitment to this partnership.
“Here at Faire we have always admired Shopify’s approach, very similar to ours, for designing tools capable of helping retail entrepreneurs improve the efficiency of managing their businesses”, commented Max Rhodes, co-founder and CEO of Faire. “By reducing the barriers to entering the B2B sales sector and developing long-term relationships between our company and customer communities, we have the opportunity to unlock many opportunities to facilitate the large-scale growth of smaller businesses”.
The partnership establishes Shopify Point of Sale (POS) as the recommended provider for Faire’s community of independent retailers, enabling unified commerce operations both online and in physical stores. This will build on a rich inventory of products already available and the integration of the ordering system on Faire, which has been able to improve efficiency and sales volume for Faire customers since 2021. Thousands of Faire sellers already use Shopify, and many other sellers operating on Shopify will now benefit from even greater access to Faire services, which can help retail entrepreneurs manage their businesses efficiently during a critical economic time for the whole planet.
