Marriott’s Appointment Marks a Significant Step in M-Files’ Commitment to Accelerate Go-To-Market Strategy, Elevate Customer Success, and Fuel Growth
M-Files, the leader in knowledge work automation, announced the appointment of Matt Marriott to Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). In this role, Marriott will leverage his extensive industry expertise to lead M-Files’ global sales and go-to-market (GTM) strategy, drive business growth, accelerate M-Files’ expansion in key verticals, and strengthen the company’s position as the preferred document management system and knowledge work automation solution for enterprises worldwide.
With over 25 years of sales leadership experience in the software industry, Marriott brings a wealth of experience to M-Files. He began his professional career at IBM as a seller, and over the better part of two decades, was afforded senior leadership assignments responsible for theatre and global sales teams, solutions, and brands.
Following his tenure at IBM, Marriott served as the global CRO for Acoustic, an IBM spinoff, and CyberRes, a Micro Focus spinoff. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President of Global Sales and GTM at Quest Software, where he successfully drove revenue growth and expanded market presence.

“We’re building an exceptional GTM team at M-Files, and Matt’s appointment is a crucial part of that vision,” said Jay Bhatt, CEO of M-Files. “His deep expertise in enterprise sales leadership, combined with his proven ability to scale global revenue operations, makes him the ideal candidate to help propel M-Files into its next phase of growth. We look forward to his contributions as we continue to revolutionize how businesses manage and leverage information.”

“I’m excited to join M-Files at such a critical juncture for the company and the industry,” said Marriott. “M-Files is uniquely positioned to transform how organizations manage and collaborate on information. With endless opportunities for building and automating workflows, every business can tailor and optimize its processes with M-Files. The company is well-positioned for long-term success in a rapidly expanding market, and I look forward to driving that growth forward.”
