This funding round brings the total capital to $100 million for a valuation of $500 million. The funding round was led by returning investors like Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, and Kleiner Perkins. It also had new investors including Jared Leto, Adobe Ventures, and HubSpot Ventures. The organization aims to utilize the funding to scale its world-class machine-learning team. The company also plans to make further investments in in-house research efforts and technical infrastructure. It will position Captions as a pioneering breakthrough company in video technology.
