Telestream Appoints Colleen Smith as Senior Vice President of Product, Partner Marketing

On 9th August 2024, Telestream announced the appointment of Colleen Smith as senior vice president of product and partner marketing.

Bringing over 25 years of experience in software sales and marketing, Smith has spent the last six years at Avid Technology, where she led the marketing organization, built a strong foundation in the media industry, and pinpointed growth opportunities, according to the company.

In her new role, Smith will report directly to Telestream CEO Rhonda Bassett-Spiers. She will be responsible for overseeing the company’s go-to-market strategy and execution, driving revenue growth, and enhancing the market presence of Telestream’s products and services.

As part of the Telestream executive team, Smith will also lead partner marketing efforts, catering to the needs of the company’s global resellers and cloud delivery partners. Her role will include ensuring that Telestream’s partnerships are in alignment with market demands and customer expectations.

Before her tenure at Avid, Smith was vice president and general manager at Progress Software, where she was instrumental in developing the SaaS/cloud business strategy and leading the product and partner marketing teams. She also held the position of vice president/industry analyst at AMR Research and has a history of leading sales, marketing, and R&D teams at Geac/D&B software.
