Nylas, the state-of-the-art communications platform giving developers universal access to email, calendar, and contacts providers through a single integration, announced that Peter McKay, CEO of Snyk has joined Nylas’ Board of Directors. The addition of McKay helps Nylas to further position itself for accelerated growth as the API economy continues seeing rapid adoption.

McKay brings decades of executive experience in enterprise software serving as a board member for various technology companies including Veeam Software, NuoDB, Nasuni, and most recently Snyk in addition to being CEO, leading the company to its inclusion in the 2022 Forbes Cloud 100. McKay brings a deep understanding of the developer community to Nylas, along with a proven track record of effectively scaling products, customers, and teams worldwide.

Peter’s addition comes at a time of rapid growth and adoption of the API economy. Recent research has shown that companies using APIs saw 12.7% more growth than companies not leveraging APIs. Additionally, Postman’s 2022 State of the API Report showed that 89% of global respondents said that their investments in APIs will increase or stay the same over the next 12 months.
