Meta introduces its first AI-powered ad targeting program for enterprises on WhatsApp as the company explores opportunities to extract revenue from the popular chat service, according to a report by Reuters. During the event, a video of CEO Mark Zuckerberg announcing the new tools was exhibited. Meta also launched a new AI chatbot to respond to business inquiries directly in chat. Similar to the current AI-driven customer service platforms, the chatbot will help users with common requests like finding catalogs or consulting business hours.

The company has been launching commerce and payment features on the app for a long time now, along with business messaging tools that enterprises can leverage to execute their customer service chats and deliver marketing messages to users who have shared their phone numbers with the organization.
