GIPHY and TikTok Team Up to Enrich Direct Messaging with AI-Driven GIF Suggestions

GIPHY, renowned as the world’s largest source of GIFs and stickers, has joined forces with TikTok to elevate the direct messaging experience on the popular short-form video app. Now a part of Shutterstock, Inc., a global leader in creative content, GIPHY’s extensive library will soon be seamlessly accessible in TikTok’s messaging system, empowering users to find the ideal GIF to suit any chat.

Through this integration, GIPHY’s API will work directly within TikTok’s messaging, giving TikTok’s vast audience instant access to personalized GIF suggestions to make their conversations more dynamic and expressive. This latest collaboration reflects a shared vision between the two companies to provide the TikTok community with new tools for self-expression in real-time chats.

“We’re thrilled to deepen our collaboration with TikTok and bring the GIPHY experience into their direct messaging feature,” said Jason Stein, GIPHY’s Senior Vice President of Business and Corporate Development. “This partnership blends self-expression with creative communication, adding a new layer to how TikTok’s community can authentically connect.”
