DAS42, a leading data consultancy, announced it has welcomed former Slalom executive Oliver Asmus as Field Chief Technology Officer to drive innovation at DAS42 and lead the consulting organization to help customers become genuine data-driven entities.
Asmus will work closely with, and report to, CEO Frank Farrall and lead the charge on evolving DAS42’s data analytic offerings. Asmus has strong experience implementing data-driven solutions in the media and entertainment industry and supporting the adoption and optimization of Snowflake Data Cloud. He recently led data efforts related to the rollout of a Big Three television streaming analytics platform. With the addition of Asmus, DAS42 is furthering its investment in both talent and its future, enhancing the skills and expertise of DAS42 associates and playing a more significant role in clients’ data journeys within its accelerated data consultancy practice.

Asmus brings over two decades of data and IT experience in several industries ranging from entertainment and media, financial services, retail, and healthcare, most recently serving as a Senior Director of Slalom’s Data & Analytics division. During Asmus’ time as Senior Director, he was responsible for the development and go-to-market strategy of cloud analytics solutions, with an emphasis on Snowflake. Prior to his role at Slalom, Asmus held several data leadership roles at Advantage Business Media, Zucker, Goldberg & Ackerman, LLC, and Maxim Healthcare Services.
