Manychat Secures $140M to Advance AI-Driven Customer Engagement Across Social and Messaging Channels
Manychat, a leading provider of conversational AI and automation for social and messaging platforms, announced the successful raise of $140 million in growth capital, led by Summit Partners. This brings the company’s total funding to $163.3 million since its inception in 2015, building on an earlier institutional round of $18 million from Bessemer Venture Partners in 2019.
As social commerce rapidly becomes a dominant force in global retail—with U.S. sales alone projected to exceed $100 billion by 2026—Manychat is uniquely positioned at the intersection of this transformation. The company empowers businesses and creators to automate and personalize customer communication across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and others.
Manychat supports billions of automated messages each year for over one million businesses across more than 170 countries, enabling them to engage audiences at scale, streamline interactions, and unlock new revenue opportunities.

With profitability already achieved, Manychat plans to leverage the new capital to accelerate global growth, deepen research and development efforts, expand marketing and customer support, and further advance its next-generation AI Agent capabilities across both existing and emerging channels.
Earlier in 2024, the company launched Manychat AI, a breakthrough solution now adopted by tens of thousands of creators and brands to scale personalized conversations and deliver richer customer experiences.
