On November 19, 2024, Mediavine, a full-service ad management firm in the U.S., announced a strategic partnership with Scope3, a sustainability platform focused on decarbonizing the media and advertising sectors. Through this collaboration, Mediavine aims to reduce its carbon footprint and promote sustainable practices within programmatic advertising.
The partnership will kick off with a thorough audit of Mediavine’s technology stack to assess its environmental impact and accurately report emissions linked to digital advertising purchases across its network of websites. By leveraging Scope3’s Collaborative Sustainability Platform, Mediavine will gain access to tools and resources that identify key areas for improvement and efficiency.

This initiative builds on Mediavine’s previous sustainability efforts, including the collaboration with 51toCarbonZero to measure corporate emissions and develop strategies for achieving net-zero goals. Furthermore, Mediavine is among the first publisher partners to join Ad Net Zero, a coalition dedicated to reducing the carbon footprint of advertising.
