Alucio™, a fast-growing provider of cloud-based software for the life sciences industry, announced the release of several new connectivity features for its Beacon platform designed for Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) and other field medical professionals.
Beacon helps MSLs streamline communication and enhance scientific exchange with key industry stakeholders including healthcare professionals (HCPs), Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and clinical trial managers. As a result of the platform’s integration with the email and calendaring functionality within Outlook, users will now be able to send invitations, schedule meetings, manage their virtual scientific exchanges, and subsequent follow ups much more easily and effectively through Beacon.
Additionally, through this update, Beacon can now be seamlessly configured to connect with leading CRM systems in use within the life science industry including Veeva, Salesforce and others. This enables MSL users to publish relevant meeting data and call notes directly from Beacon to the company’s designated CRM – without having to leave the Beacon platform.

We’re committed to the ongoing advancement of our product and will continue to deploy new updates on a regular basis.”
Ginny Spadoni, a senior industry executive and Alucio advisory board member, shared her perspectives. “Coming from my experience, these new features will certainly help to further increase the value of Beacon for end users. Anything the company can do to streamline workflows and make things easier for the MSL so they can truly focus on scientific exchange is a big plus.”
