Emplifi Appoints Jim Koepke as Chief Revenue Officer

Emplifi has appointed Jim Koepke as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), expanding his responsibilities from his previous position as Senior Vice President of Global Sales. In the new role, Koepke will lead the company’s global revenue organization, including commercial strategy and go-to-market execution.
Koepke brings more than 19 years of experience across MarTech and B2B technology services. Before joining Emplifi, he served as Chief Revenue Officer at Maropost and Terminus and as Managing Director, United States at Insider. Earlier in his career, he held senior sales leadership positions at Emarsys and ExactTarget/Salesforce.
His appointment comes as marketing technology companies increasingly focus on connecting technology investments with measurable business outcomes. For Emplifi, the role will include responsibility for the global go-to-market organization as the company develops its focus around AI-enabled customer experiences across marketing, commerce, and customer care.

The changing MarTech landscape is creating a broader remit for revenue leaders. Marketing technology buyers are increasingly evaluating platforms based not only on individual capabilities but also on integration, data connectivity, automation, AI functionality, and their ability to support multiple customer-facing teams.
This is particularly relevant as businesses look to reduce fragmentation across marketing, commerce, and customer service. Customer interactions increasingly take place across social platforms, digital channels, commerce environments, and service touchpoints, creating demand for technology that can connect data and workflows across the customer journey.
AI is also changing the way marketing and customer experience platforms are positioned and adopted. Organizations are exploring AI for content creation, audience analysis, social engagement, customer service, personalization, and workflow automation. At the same time, questions around governance, data quality, privacy, and human oversight remain important considerations.
Koepke’s previous experience within B2B technology and MarTech gives him exposure to this evolving buying environment. His new responsibilities place him at the intersection of revenue strategy, customer relationships, and the changing expectations of enterprise technology buyers.
For the wider MarTech industry, the appointment reflects the increasing importance of aligning product capabilities with clear business outcomes. As AI becomes more deeply integrated into marketing and customer experience platforms, revenue organizations will increasingly need to explain not just what the technology does, but how it fits into existing operations and delivers measurable value.
Koepke’s move into the CRO role adds another layer to Emplifi’s leadership as the company continues developing its approach to AI-powered customer experience and global go-to-market operations.
