Demand AI Names John P O'Malley Non-Executive Chairman

Demand AI has appointed John P O'Malley as its Non-Executive Chairman, bringing more than three decades of experience across technology, data, media, and B2B marketing to the company’s board.
O'Malley has held senior leadership positions across international markets during his career. At IDG, he served as Chief Operating Officer of IDG Communications and CEO of its demand generation business, giving him experience across media, technology, demand generation, and B2B operations.
In his new position, O'Malley will chair Demand AI's board and work with CEO Michael Whife on areas including corporate strategy and international expansion. His appointment comes as the company looks to expand its presence across global markets and further develop its approach to AI-driven B2B demand generation.

The move comes at a time when B2B marketing is undergoing a shift in how companies identify prospects, understand buyer behavior, and measure engagement. AI and data are increasingly being incorporated into demand generation workflows, moving marketing teams toward more data-driven approaches to identifying and engaging potential buyers.
For marketers, this shift also raises broader questions around how AI can connect buyer signals with measurable commercial outcomes. As customer journeys become more fragmented across digital channels, organizations are placing greater emphasis on understanding intent and turning available data into actionable insights.
O'Malley's appointment adds board-level experience in areas that sit at the intersection of technology, media, data, and B2B marketing. It also reflects the growing role of experienced marketing and technology executives in guiding businesses through changes brought by AI and increasingly data-driven go-to-market models.
