Jean Ellen Cowgill Joins Gamma as Head of Marketing

Jean Ellen Cowgill has joined Gamma as Head of Marketing, bringing a career shaped by creative strategy, media, agency operations, and the evolution of digital collaboration tools.
Cowgill’s professional journey has included working with organizations such as The Atlantic and Bloomberg Media, where she experienced firsthand how tools like Google Slides and Figma changed the way teams collaborate, design, and communicate ideas. She also led a creative agency and worked on event initiatives, adding experience across multiple aspects of the creative and media ecosystem.
Her move to Gamma comes from a long-standing interest in tools that make it easier to turn ideas into visual communication. Cowgill said her introduction to Gamma and its AI-powered approach to visual communication stood out as the next evolution in that journey.

According to Cowgill, she had already been working with Gamma for several months while completing a transition from her previous work. During that period, she was involved in the development of a Broadway-style storytelling show that was launched in less than eight weeks.
In her new role, Cowgill will focus on Gamma’s marketing efforts as the company moves into its next phase. Her experience across creative agencies, media organizations, and marketing gives her a broad perspective on how teams create, communicate, and bring ideas to audiences.
The appointment comes as generative AI increasingly influences how marketers and creative teams develop presentations, content, and visual experiences. As these tools become more integrated into everyday workflows, marketing leaders are also taking on a role in shaping how technology translates into practical creative outcomes.
Cowgill’s appointment adds another experienced marketing voice to Gamma as it continues developing its position within the evolving AI and visual communication landscape.
