Priti Parekh Joins AWS as Vertical Sales Head for GCC Business Unit

Priti Parekh has joined Amazon Web Services (AWS) as Vertical Sales Head for the GCC Business Unit in India, taking on a role focused on the country’s growing Global Capability Centre (GCC) ecosystem.
Parekh shared that her new role will focus on working with GCCs as they expand their use of cloud technologies, artificial intelligence, and generative AI. She noted that India has around 2,100 GCCs, many of which are increasingly moving beyond traditional delivery functions toward technology development, innovation, and global business operations.
The appointment comes as GCCs in India continue to evolve from cost-focused centers into strategic hubs for engineering, product development, data, AI, and business transformation. This shift is increasing demand for cloud infrastructure and technology capabilities that can support more complex workloads.

In her new role, Parekh will focus on the GCC segment and work with GCC leaders, technology teams, and ecosystem partners. Her responsibilities will include supporting organizations as they assess cloud adoption and AI-related opportunities.
The growing adoption of generative AI is particularly relevant to this segment. GCCs are increasingly involved in developing and deploying AI applications for global organizations, creating new requirements around computing infrastructure, data, security, and scalability.

Before joining AWS, she worked with IBM Consulting, where her work included Global Capability Centres and discussions around AI-led transformation. Her background provides experience working with organizations navigating technology and business transformation.
Her appointment reflects the increasing strategic importance of GCCs within India's technology ecosystem. As these centers take on larger responsibilities for global innovation, cloud and AI are becoming increasingly important components of their operating models.
For the broader technology and MarTech landscape, the move highlights how India's GCC ecosystem is becoming closely connected with cloud computing, generative AI, and digital transformation. It also points to the growing specialization of technology providers around industry and business segments as enterprise technology adoption becomes more complex.
