In his new APAC-focused role, Ramesh will work within a region that includes some of the world's fastest-changing digital advertising markets. Business development in this environment increasingly involves understanding advertiser requirements, agency relationships, evolving media formats, and the technology supporting campaign execution.
The role also reflects the growing importance of regional leadership as global advertising technology companies expand their presence across Asia-Pacific. APAC markets vary significantly in terms of consumer behavior, media consumption, regulatory environments, and technology adoption, requiring businesses to balance global strategies with local market requirements.
Ramesh's experience across publishers, streaming platforms, and digital advertising businesses provides exposure to several parts of this ecosystem. His previous work has included account management, client services, sales, and business development, areas that increasingly overlap as advertising becomes more data- and technology-driven.
His appointment at Nexxen adds another experienced professional to the company's APAC business development function. It also comes as advertisers continue to reassess their approaches to digital video, connected TV, programmatic buying, and cross-channel media.
For the broader MarTech and AdTech industry, the move highlights the continued demand for experienced commercial leaders who understand the changing relationships between advertisers, agencies, publishers, and advertising technology platforms.
