Dell Technologies has appointed Cesil Deepak as Media Manager, Global Digital Demand Generation, adding a new leadership role focused on digital media within its global marketing organization.

Deepak’s new remit brings media planning and execution closer to Dell’s demand generation activities. The role is relevant to how large B2B technology companies coordinate paid media, audience engagement, and campaign performance across different markets and customer segments.

Global digital demand generation increasingly involves more than generating campaign traffic or leads. Marketing teams are expected to connect media activity with account engagement, content consumption, sales opportunities, and other signals that help measure progress through the buying journey.

For technology companies with complex products and long sales cycles, this creates additional requirements around audience segmentation, campaign coordination, measurement, and the alignment of marketing and sales teams. Media managers are increasingly involved in translating these requirements into campaigns that can be evaluated against broader business objectives.

Deepak’s appointment comes as Dell continues to invest in AI infrastructure and enterprise technology. The company recently raised its annual revenue forecast to $192 billion, driven largely by demand for AI-optimized servers. Its second-quarter revenue reached $46.97 billion, while AI server revenue doubled year over year to $16.4 billion.

Although the media role is separate from Dell’s infrastructure business, the wider market context is relevant. As enterprise technology providers address growing demand for AI and digital infrastructure, their marketing organizations must communicate with different audiences, including IT decision-makers, business leaders, developers, and procurement teams.

The appointment also reflects the continued development of digital demand generation as a specialized function within B2B marketing. Media teams are increasingly expected to work with data, marketing automation, content, and sales operations to improve how campaigns are targeted, measured, and optimized.

Deepak’s move adds to Dell Technologies’ marketing organization as the company continues to operate across a broad enterprise technology market. For B2B marketers, it highlights the growing importance of connecting media activity with measurable demand generation outcomes.
