Nexthink Appoints Christopher Powell as Chief Marketing Officer

Nexthink has appointed Christopher Powell as Chief Marketing Officer, bringing a new marketing leader to the digital employee experience technology company as it continues to operate in a market shaped by cloud adoption, AI, and changing workplace technology needs.
Powell joins Nexthink after five years at Qlik, where he held senior marketing responsibilities. His experience at the data and analytics company adds a background in enterprise technology marketing, data, and business intelligence to his new role.
At Nexthink, Powell will lead marketing as the company focuses on helping organizations understand and improve the digital experiences of employees using workplace technology. His remit places marketing alongside a category that increasingly intersects with IT operations, employee experience, cybersecurity, and AI.

The role comes as enterprises are reassessing how employees interact with applications, devices, and digital services. Hybrid work has also increased the number of technology touchpoints that IT teams need to monitor, making visibility into employee technology experiences a growing consideration for businesses.
For marketers in enterprise technology, this environment is changing how products are positioned and communicated. Buyers are increasingly looking for measurable business outcomes rather than technology features alone. Marketing teams must therefore connect product capabilities with issues such as employee productivity, IT efficiency, user satisfaction, and operational costs.
AI is another factor influencing the category. As organizations introduce generative and agentic AI into workplace environments, IT and business leaders are facing new questions around adoption, performance, governance, and employee experience. This creates additional opportunities and challenges for vendors operating across digital workplace technology.
Powell’s move from Qlik to Nexthink also reflects continued movement of marketing executives between enterprise software categories. Experience in data and analytics can be particularly relevant as marketers increasingly rely on customer intelligence and measurable signals to shape go-to-market strategies.
His appointment gives Nexthink a CMO with experience in enterprise technology and data-driven marketing at a time when digital employee experience is becoming more closely connected with broader technology and business strategies.
