Google Expands AI Mode to Five New Languages for Global Search

Google has expanded its AI-powered Search experience, AI Mode, to five additional languages-Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, and Brazilian Portuguese-marking its first rollout beyond English. Built on a customized version of Gemini 2.5, AI Mode brings advanced multimodal and reasoning capabilities, enabling users to ask complex questions and receive contextually rich answers in their native languages. Since its initial launch in the U.S. and subsequent English-language expansion globally, AI Mode has been designed to transform how people interact with Search by making it more intuitive, conversational, and personalized.
