Backlight product updates and integrations

Backlight’s feature-rich solutions help broadcasters and rights holders create more content, distribute it across different platforms, open up new revenue streams, and intelligently and economically manage media and creative projects in the cloud. Recent updates to its products to overcome challenges across the video lifecycle and optimize production and monetization include:

  • Wildmoka Live Studio: New backlight platform for digital live productions. Backlight will demonstrate how Live Studio’s unified interface makes it easy to customize an existing live stream or create a new live stream from multiple live sources, clips, graphics and images while maintaining brand consistency with pre-configured production spaces and destination templates. The browser-based Live Studio allows customers to quickly create platform-specific, low-latency content and reach larger audiences through parallel distribution to any digital destination.
  • AI-powered inventory creation in Zype Playout. In the latest version of Zype Playout, Backlight‘s machine learning-enabled advertising opportunity discovery feature is complemented by low-latency ad routing, device-based audience creation, and a custom approach to ad macros. Compared to leading playout providers, customers have achieved a 516% increase in ad inventory, a 15% increase in fill rate, and a 44% improvement in ad rendering.
