Xnurta recently introduced a new initiative with the formation of the Agentic Retail Media Council aimed at creating standards for the use of AI agents in advertising and retail media activities. The objective behind forming this council is to come up with guidelines for EVAL standards in the use of autonomous AI agents in different areas including efficiency, validation, accountability, and learning in an advertisement setting. With more campaigns being optimized through the use of AI agents, there has been a need to ensure transparency and standardization in evaluation.

This committee has brought together industry experts in advertising, business operations, and AI technologies in order to set guidelines and operational standards on how AI should be integrated within an agentic framework. According to Xnurta, the creation of the committee is meant to provide greater assurance that brands and retailers continue investing in the development of technologies that can drive their marketing initiatives using artificial intelligence. This move coincides with the changing landscape in advertising as there is a growing trend towards the use of autonomous advertising systems which can make real-time decisions with very little human oversight involved.
