Insightly Survey Reveals Marketing Automation Helps B2B Marketers Improve Customer Journey and Increase Revenue

Insightly, the modern, affordable CRM teams love, is revealing new insights to help B2B marketers take advantage of current trends in automation tools and improve their bottom line. A recent survey of nearly 200 B2B marketing leaders found that five out of 10 say that optimization of their overall automation strategy will be a primary goal this year, a sign that this trend continues to grow.

Creating a top-notch customer experience is top-of-mind for nearly every business and marketing automation helps make this process significantly more effective for B2B marketers. An overwhelming majority – 87 percent of those surveyed – said they now have some or all of their customer journeys fully automated. However, only 27 percent agree their marketing tools are optimized to better engage with customers, so there is still room for improvement.

“Companies continue to invest in strategic customer engagement tactics even as many are slashing budgets during this turbulent time,” said Anthony Smith, founder and CEO of Insightly. “In the past year, the number of customers who have adopted our platform, including Insightly Marketing, has increased 66 percent, demonstrating the importance of better managing and automating customer journeys. It drives efficiency and growth for companies of all sizes, helping them better navigate the current volatility and prepare for a more stable economy, too.”

Additional survey findings include:

  • -Email marketing is still king, with 62 percent of respondents saying they use that feature in their marketing automation platform.
  • -Seventy percent of respondents are increasing their spend for marketing automation this year.
  • -Areas that utilize marketing automation the most are: Email marketing, social media, content management, paid ads, and landing pages.

Insightly Marketing is the marketing automation application available in its modern CRM platform. The April 2023 product release included several key updates:

  • -Campaign UTM tracking: Every marketer needs to demonstrate the effectiveness and impact of their campaigns. By adding UTM tracking to a URL that is part of a marketing campaign, marketers can now track the specific source, medium, and campaign that brought a lead or contact to their website.
  • -Prospect tracking in emails: To help marketers track and measure the content that is most compelling to their audiences, Insightly can now identify and take actions on any prospect whenever they click links in emails, including links to videos or social posts.
  • -Transactional email sending: Administrators can now enable transaction emails and communicate with timely and relevant information to customers about their account, passwords, invoicing, shipping, and more.
  • -Batch Email Sending: Insightly now can be set to send bulk emails in batches for larger lists so that customers can have them sent out over a longer period of time, which can also be beneficial to email deliverability.

“Insightly Marketing has allowed us to get very specific in our approach and outreach process for customers, and it’s all dependent on their interests,” said Miles Reynolds, CEO of Sport Court Las Vegas. “Everything is very strategic with our marketing because we can now stay in front of customers with content that really matters to them and as a result, have grown 242 percent.”
