The Trade Desk has appointed Kristi Argyilan as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and Executive Vice President, strengthening its executive leadership as commerce media, retail media and identity-based advertising continue to reshape the digital marketing landscape. Argyilan will assume the role on July 27 and report directly to Founder and CEO Jeff Green.
In her new position, Argyilan will lead The Trade Desk‘s data partnerships organization, overseeing identity, measurement, retail media, governance and other strategic initiatives that support advertisers across the open internet. She joins the company from Uber, where she served as Global Head of Advertising, and previously held senior leadership roles at Albertsons Media Collective, Roundel and IPG Mediabrands, bringing extensive experience across retail media, brand marketing and advertising technology.
The appointment comes as the advertising industry enters a new phase driven by AI, first-party data and evolving privacy standards. Brands are increasingly seeking platforms that can unify audience identity, measurement and commerce signals while delivering transparent, data-driven campaign performance. At the same time, retailers and commerce platforms are expanding their media businesses, creating new opportunities for advertisers to engage consumers using high-intent purchase data.
