The Marketing Pod has defended its title, winning Gold for PR Consultancy of the Year at the Chartered Institute for Public Relations (CIPR) Midlands PRide Awards for the second year in a row.
The award in the event’s biggest category followed a string of successes for the Pod team throughout the night in Birmingham on Friday, November 17, taking home a total of six awards, including:
- Gold in the Best Event category for our Better Together campaign with npower Business Solutions (nBS).
- Silver for Integrated Campaign and Low Budget Campaign (both The Talent Track with CWE Ltd.)
- Silver for Best Use of Content (A Voice on the Future of Energy with nBS)
- Silver for Best Long-Term Client Care (An Extraordinary New Approach to Marketing for Mobica)
The CIPR PRide Awards are the leading regional PR industry awards, recognising the outstanding work that PR professionals deliver across the UK.
The award-winning PR Consultancy of the Year entry covered a wide range of criteria, including budget, results and relationships with our fantastic clients. The Gold award recognises our substantial achievements and continued growth.
As a green agency, we were delighted that the judges recognised the Pod’s “serious dedication towards maintaining the ethical reputation of the agency”. Our overarching aim is to grow sustainably, working with clients who share our values and prioritising the wellbeing of our team.
Commenting on our winning entry, the judges also noted the “substantial success of the agency, steady growth and confidence in operations and impressive earnings.”
The Better Together campaign for nBS, which won Best Event, brought employees back together following the Covid lockdown. The judges remarked: “A well-planned event. The theme and activity engaged well with employees. The build-up activity, awards and fun activities ensured positive feedback and shared memories. Great job.”
Jodie Williams, co-founder of The Marketing Pod, said: “We’re absolutely ecstatic to have been recognised in so many categories at this year’s CIPR Midlands PRide Awards – it really shows the strength and depth of our PR capabilities. PR Consultancy of the Year is a major category and to win it for a second year in a row recognises the hard work and consistency of our PR centre of excellence. We love working closely with our clients and get a real buzz on their behalf when we can describe a campaign as award-winning – we couldn’t do any of what we do without them, we’re so grateful for their support and delighted we can deliver for them. The whole Pod PR team is dedicated to generating coverage opportunities for all our clients, and we’re thrilled the CIPR has recognised our efforts.
