SocketLabs, an email service provider (ESP), launched SocketLabs Spotlight, a new standalone email performance reporting tool. SocketLabs Spotlight reporting is available as an add-on for senders who need better visibility into email performance data provided by their ESP without similar reporting features.
Currently, senders using other ESPs have little directional and diagnostic data available. While they can access raw numbers from their ESP based on their sending activity, there are few platforms currently providing usable insights for fast, effective decision-making to positively impact performance.
“There isn’t any reporting tool available to businesses today to actually guide them toward the meaningful decisions to improve their email performance,” said Louis Driving Hawk, head of product and growth at SocketLabs. “With email being a value-driving key to growth, Spotlight reporting is the solution senders need to stop flying blind with data that provides little actionable insight. You no longer need to be an email expert to make business-impacting email decisions.”

SocketLabs Spotlight reporting gives users a dashboard with highly customizable views to see account-wide activity in one glance, so they can build reports to save and share with stakeholders without spending hours finding, extracting, and adding meaning to data.
From this overview, users can see their email program’s StreamScore, a proprietary score derived from more than 35 data points to provide a color-coded assessment of the sender’s reputation.
StreamScores are comprised of four major performance-impacting categories so users can identify a problem, then understand what aspect of their program is suffering and why. Additionally, Spotlight’s Guided Insights offers granular advice to assist senders’ optimization decisions.
“Before now, SocketLabs senders were the only ones with access to our reporting suite, which provides very clear, contextual information to empower well-informed choices to improve email success,” said Bill Volz, co-founder and CTO at SocketLabs. “Customers of other ESPs will be able to funnel data into our reporting tool to get more value from the data they’re currently getting without needing to migrate providers.”
SocketLabs Spotlight reporting is now available for senders using Twilio SendGrid®. Customers of Sinch Mailgun® will have access to Spotlight reporting in the coming months, and Amazon® SES, MessageBird® will follow later this year.
