Microsoft Teams, the chat-based collaboration tool, is getting a new template specifically for law firms. The template, from LawToolBox, which was showcased at the Microsoft Inspire conference on July 19, 2022, will allow law firms to manage cases and collaborate with clients more effectively.
According to a newly published ebook from Microsoft, LawToolBox is 1 of 16 Teams Independent Software Vendors (ISV) with a solution that is channel-ready for Microsoft Cloud Solution Providers (CSP).

Pax8, a leading IT provider with over 22,000 partners in the CSP program, has led significant adoption of Microsoft Teams for Legal. “The ability to integrate these ISV solutions and buy them through the Microsoft Commercial Marketplace enables CSPs to take the thinking out of it – the consolidation, the automation, the integration is all taken care of by Pax8,” said Aaron Garza, SVP of Business Development for Pax8.
Teams has been a popular tool for law firms since its launch in 2017, and this new legal template will make it even more useful. The template includes features such as a case management system, document sharing, and integration with popular legal software. It allows lawyers to work together in real time on documents, cases, and projects.
The new template is designed to help law firms take advantage of Teams’ features, including chat, video conferencing, and file sharing. It also includes pre-built connectors for popular practice management and DMS solutions.
“Within a couple of months of launching a partnership with Pax8, we were able to increase our transactions in the marketplace by over 100%,” said Carol-Lynn Grow, COO of LawToolBox. “Last month, we noticed our revenue had quadrupled simply by selling our product through Microsoft partners.”
