Messagepoint Acquires Sefas to Strengthen AI-Driven Customer Communications Management Platform

Messagepoint is a company that provides customer communications management (CCM) solutions. It has recently announced its acquisition of Sefas. This acquisition would allow the company to increase its capacity in managing customer communications and its capacity in providing end-to-end AI-powered communications solutions.

Expanding Capabilities for Modern Customer Communications

Organizations, particularly in highly regulated industries, face the challenge of providing accurate and timely communication through multiple channels while dealing with the complexity and expense of the operations. With the acquisition of Sefas, organizations can now break away from the state of disjointed document production systems and move towards a unified communication platform that can provide orchestrated and measurable customer interaction through multiple physical and digital channels.

Messagepoint and Sefas will be able to offer organizations more efficient solutions for designing, managing, and executing customer communications across the customer lifecycle.

Building on an Established Technology Partnership

The acquisition is an extension of the original equipment manufacturer partnership between the two companies, which was initiated in 2021. Through this partnership, Messagepoint has incorporated several Sefas solutions into its platform to assist enterprises in modernizing their communication infrastructure.

Currently, Messagepoint provides several key Sefas solutions under its platform, including Messagepoint Composer, powered by Sefas Designer, and Messagepoint ECP, powered by Sefas Producer. These solutions assist enterprises in streamlining the composition, processing, and delivery of regulated communications, both in print and digital formats.

With the acquisition now complete, Messagepoint is looking forward to greater integration between the platforms, thereby enabling faster innovation and better interoperability between content management, document composition, and communications processing systems.

Introducing New Omnichannel Communication Tools

As part of the integration roadmap, Messagepoint is also looking to introduce other solutions from the Sefas portfolio to its customer base.

Some of the solutions that will be introduced include the Conductor solution, which is an omnichannel orchestration platform aimed at providing coordination and tracking of high-volume communications in print and digital formats. Another solution is the Electronic Delivery Gateway (EDG), which is aimed at providing easier integration and management of digital communication delivery services.

These solutions will help improve the capacity of organizations to manage complex communications while maintaining compliance and operational efficiency.

Advancing an AI-Powered Communications Ecosystem

The acquisition also plays into the company’s overall vision of building a comprehensive communications platform powered by artificial intelligence. Intelligent content management, composition, orchestration, and delivery are all part of the company’s vision to give organizations more visibility and control over their communications operations.

“This acquisition is about delivering more value to our customers as they adopt digital-first customer experience strategies,” said Steve Biancaniello, Founder and CEO of Messagepoint. “Sefas solutions perform at enterprise scale and enable Messagepoint to further enhance our ability to help customers deliver timely, personalized, compliant experiences across all channels. Bringing the Sefas team and solution suite into Messagepoint will allow us to deepen integration across composition and communications processing and extend into digital orchestration. Together, the combination of Messagepoint and Sefas-backed by our focus on AI-driven innovation and next-generation capabilities-will help regulated organizations maximize the efficiency and accuracy of modern customer experiences.”

Strengthening a Shared Vision for Omnichannel Experiences

Leaders from both organizations emphasized that the acquisition reflects a shared vision of enabling enterprises to deliver modern, omnichannel customer communications that meet both regulatory requirements and evolving customer expectations.

“Sefas and Messagepoint share a common vision: enabling enterprises to deliver modern customer communications across print and digital channels,” said Jean-Philippe Khristy, CEO of Sefas. “Building on a proven OEM collaboration, this next step strengthens our ability to innovate and serve customers with an integrated approach to designing, producing, orchestrating, and managing omnichannel customer experiences. We’re excited to join Messagepoint and expand what customers can achieve with the combined platform.”

With this acquisition, Messagepoint aims to accelerate innovation in the CCM space while helping enterprises modernize how they manage and deliver high-volume customer communications across increasingly complex digital and print ecosystems.
