On October 15, 2024, at unBoxed 2024, Amazon Ads unveiled two new AI-powered tools: AI Creative Studio and Audio Generator. These tools aim to simplify the creative process and give advertisers more ways to expand their reach. With these self-service tools, Amazon Ads is making it easier for brands of all sizes to create engaging content across multiple media types and ad formats.
The Audio Generator is the latest addition to Amazon Ads’ suite of AI creative tools, which already includes the Image Generator and Video Generator. It allows brands to connect with customers throughout their shopping journey by quickly creating audio ads. With just the information from their Amazon product page, advertisers can experiment with new campaigns and optimize performance. Amazon Ads found that, on average, brands using the Image Generator between October 2023 and June 2024 saw nearly a 5% increase in sales.
To further enhance the ad creation experience, Amazon Ads introduced the AI Creative Studio. This platform combines Amazon’s AI-powered creative generators into one application, allowing advertisers to conceptualize, create, and refresh ads across formats. It simplifies the process, whether transforming a product image into a video or converting a TV commercial into online ads, helping brands build and scale their campaigns effortlessly.

Jay Richman, VP of Creative Experiences for Amazon Ads, expressed excitement over the new tools, highlighting how they reduce the complexities of working across various formats. Brands can easily update creatives for different seasons, generate fresh content, and tailor ads to different audiences, leading to a more dynamic and engaging customer experience while boosting campaign performance.
With AI Creative Studio, brands can create ads in display, video, and audio formats all in one place. The tool features an AI gallery to inspire advertisers with examples of ad formats and designs. Brands can start with a simple product image and quickly transform it into eye-catching ads. Advertisers can also upload their own assets and use the platform to generate new concepts, adjust aspect ratios, and refine elements like lighting, style, and tone.
The resulting ads are saved directly in the advertiser’s creative asset library for easy activation within their existing campaigns. Richman emphasized that these tools make it easier for businesses to invest in various ad formats without needing large budgets or expertise, helping them create content for display, video, and eventually audio ads within one seamless workflow.
AI Creative Studio, which also offers unlimited storage, is available in beta to select U.S. advertisers starting today.
The Audio Generator, available now in beta via the Amazon DSP, lets advertisers create interactive audio ads in minutes. By inputting product information from their Amazon listings, the tool generates a voiceover script. Advertisers can customize the voice, tone, and background music, creating a high-quality, 30-second audio ad that can complement other campaigns. These audio ads can include interactive features like “Alexa, add to cart” and will have more options available in the future.
Richman added that the Audio Generator marks a new frontier in AI-powered tools for Amazon Ads, making it easier for advertisers to connect with new audiences through creative barriers that didn’t exist a year ago. This, he says, is just the beginning of ongoing innovation in the space.
