On December 20, 2024, Integral Ad Science (IAS), a global leader in media measurement and optimization, announced new partnerships with two prominent sustainability solutions providers. IAS is strengthening its commitment to measuring, reporting, and managing its carbon footprint across operations by collaborating with Alpine Project, a provider of sustainability solutions for the advertising ecosystem, and 51toCarbonZero (51-0), a net-zero platform supporting the growth of marketing and advertising leaders.
As environmental responsibility becomes a growing priority in the industry, IAS is taking proactive measures toward sustainability. Through its partnerships with Alpine Project and 51toCarbonZero, IAS will track its carbon footprint and develop a comprehensive sustainability strategy to publicly disclose and balance corporate emissions.

Using 51toCarbonZero’s measurement platform, IAS will analyze data related to office space, server usage, and employee travel to calculate its carbon footprint across Scopes 1, 2, and 3. The platform will also provide recommendations for decarbonization strategies.
Richard Davis, co-founder and CEO of 51toCarbonZero, expressed excitement about the partnership, noting that IAS is a pioneer in fostering a more responsible media environment. He pointed out that the collaboration with IAS represents an important step in accelerating the world’s transition to net-zero emissions. The partnership will leverage net-zero software and expert guidance from Alpine Project to enhance IAS’s carbon measurement efforts using automation and technology for significant impact across the media ecosystem.

Brian Murphy, Founder of Alpine Project, highlighted his pride in partnering with IAS to support its ambitious sustainability goals. He commended IAS for already establishing a baseline GHG assessment and noted that the collaboration would help further the industry’s progress toward environmental sustainability and responsibility within the digital advertising space.
