Sendbird Chat Launches in AWS Marketplace, Strengthening Collaboration with AWS

Global chat provider extends customer reach by listing Sendbird Chat on AWS’s digital catalog

Sendbird, the conversations platform for mobile apps, announced that Sendbird Chat, a complete in-app chat platform with API, SDK, and UIKits, is now available for purchase in Amazon Web Services (AWS) Marketplace. AWS Marketplace is a digital catalog with thousands of software listings from independent software vendors (ISV) that makes it easy for customers to find, test, buy, and deploy software that runs on AWS. Now, even more organizations throughout the world can benefit from Sendbird Chat on AWS. Sendbird currently supports over 250 million active users and 5 billion messages a month, with a global cloud system spanning 9 AWS Regions.

The listing in AWS Marketplace reinforces Sendbird’s collaboration with AWS. Sendbird is an Advanced Tier Technology Partner and a member of the AWS ISV Accelerate Program, who joined the AWS Partner Network (APN) Global Startup Program last year. The APN Global Startup Program is an invite-only, go-to-market program supporting mid-to-late stage startups that have raised institutional funding, achieved product-market fit, and are ready to scale.

“We’ve seen the value Sendbird Chat delivers to companies all over the world,” said Jae Kyu Chun, Head of Partners and Alliances, Korea. “We are pleased to welcome Sendbird to AWS Marketplace so that our customers can add powerful conversation capabilities into their applications.”

Sendbird believes conversations are at the heart of building relationships between users and businesses or even within companies to get things accomplished. The company built its conversations platform for mobile apps supporting chat, voice, and video – all on AWS. Leading brands like Reddit, DoorDash, Paytm, and Krafton use Sendbird to drive increased transactions and loyalty for hundreds of millions of users every month. After listing in AWS Marketplace, Sendbird Chat is now one of less than 560 software-as-a-service (SaaS) business applications of the more than 12,000 products listed for purchase.

Anyone with an AWS account can purchase a Sendbird Chat subscription in just a few clicks. Within minutes, customers can integrate Sendbird’s chat APIs and leverage reliable AWS cloud infrastructure to begin sending secure and engaging messages.

Buying through AWS Marketplace also simplifies billing by empowering Customers to leverage consolidated AWS billing, cost analysis with Cost Explorer, and subscription management. Additionally, purchases in AWS Marketplace qualify against customers’ Enterprise Discount Program (EDP) commitments.

“We are proud to collaborate with AWS to build and scale our communications and chat platform,” said Sendbird co-founder and CEO John S. Kim. “We are delighted to launch Sendbird Chat in AWS Marketplace to further extend our reach and enable even more organizations to build relationships with their users.”
