WEKA Appoints Shanta Kohli as Chief Marketing Officer

WEKA has appointed Shanta Kohli as its Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), strengthening its executive team as demand for AI-native data infrastructure continues to accelerate.

Kohli brings more than 25 years of experience leading global marketing organizations across enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity and cloud technologies. Reporting to WEKA Co-founder and CEO Liran Zvibel, she will oversee the company’s global marketing strategy, including brand development, demand generation and go-to-market initiatives, as WEKA expands its position in the AI infrastructure market.

Before joining WEKA, Kohli served as Chief Marketing Officer at Sysdig, where she spent nearly six years helping scale the company’s global marketing organization. Her career also includes senior leadership roles at Palo Alto Networks, Nimble Storage, Blue Coat Systems and HP Software, giving her extensive experience in category creation and enterprise technology marketing.

The appointment comes as AI infrastructure providers compete to support enterprises moving from AI experimentation to production. As organizations deploy increasingly complex generative AI workloads, marketing leaders are expected to communicate not only technical capabilities but also business value, scalability and long-term return on investment. Building category awareness has become just as important as product innovation in an increasingly competitive AI landscape.

This evolution is expanding the role of enterprise CMOs. Beyond traditional brand building, marketing leaders are increasingly responsible for defining emerging technology categories, educating enterprise buyers and aligning demand generation with revenue growth. In fast-growing AI markets, clear positioning and customer trust can be powerful competitive differentiators.

Kohli’s appointment reflects a broader trend across enterprise AI, where experienced marketing executives are helping technology companies translate innovation into market leadership. As AI infrastructure becomes a strategic priority for enterprises, strong go-to-market execution will play an increasingly important role in driving adoption and long-term growth.
